Scholarships
- "The game of soccer itself is great and the opportunities we have to impact the lives of our players is immeasurable. I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunities I've had to stay involved in the game and The Walt Chyzowych Memorial Fund is one truly meaningful example."
— Laura Jackson, 2010 WCMF Scholarship Recipient
Each year the United Soccer Coaches Foundation awards scholarships to individuals by providing financial assistance for them to attend United Soccer Coaches Coaching Academy residential diploma courses. These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of many donors.
Scholarships are funded using unrestricted funds, general endowment funds, and numerous named endowment funds including the Walter Chyzowych Fund at the United Soccer Coaches Foundation. Scholarships are applied toward the costs of tuition, housing and meals for an United Soccer Coaches National Diploma course or an Advanced National Diploma course.

- "Walt's legacy as a coach continues because of the generosity of this scholarship to educate others. As coaches we have a duty to educate ourselves through course certifications and I am personally committed to fulfilling this responsibility."

2020
2020 brought a year unlike any other. To best serve the United Soccer Association membership, 100% of the Endowed Funds supported a shift in how we gave out scholarships for that year. Rather than the traditional scholarships we usually award, we helped renew and award memberships to those who were in most need. While these names will be kept anonymous, the Foundation was able to give out almost 200 memberships to assist coaches in need!
